Action:
Brazilian green propolis is produced by African bees that collect the resins from the leaves of Baccharis dracunculifolia, a green plant found only in the Amazon. These resins give propolis its distinctive green color.
The natural environment of the Amazon is the ideal place for bees to do their work: the region is free of intensive agriculture and has vast areas where flora and fauna can flourish.
Green propolis contains flavonoids (a family of polyphenols) and water-soluble phenolic acids. Most research on green propolis has been conducted in Japan, the largest consumer of Brazilian propolis.
Several studies have reported that green propolis has antiulcerogenic, anti-inflammatory, antimutagenic, antifungal, immunomodulatory, angiogenetic, and antioxidant properties.
Thyme is a Mediterranean herb with dietary, medicinal, and ornamental uses. The flowers, leaves, and oil of thyme have been used to treat a number of symptoms and complaints. Thyme is believed to have antibacterial, insecticidal, and possibly antifungal properties.
People have used thyme for hundreds of years for embalming and to protect against the Black Death.
