The selected ratio of 3:2 is consistent with the amount of hypericin – 0.5% in the extract and the amount of ginkgoflavone glycosides – 24%, calculated as the sum of quercetin, kaempferol and isorhamnetin.
Hypericin is an anthraquinone derivative that blocks the action of monoamine oxidase, participates in brain metabolism and influences the transmission of nerve impulses.
