The properties of the food supplement VemoHerb ® Cichorium are determined by the content of the specified active substances extracted from the plant. During the different phases of biological development , the dihydroxycoumarin glycosides chicoriin, esculin and esculetin are converted into each other and maintain a constant balance in the above-ground mass, which ensures the necessary level for the manifestation of anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties.

They are enhanced by the synergistic effect of the lactones, into which coumarin derivatives are converted under certain conditions of growth and maturation of the plant individual. Dihydroxy coumarins have a strengthening effect on the capillary walls, are defined as a specific antispasmodic of the bile ducts and take part in the regulatory functions of smooth muscles.

The flavonoids, apigenin, quercetin and lutein contained in chicory extract, dilate even the smallest capillaries, help increase the level of oxygen in the blood, stimulate metabolism and positively affect the enzymes involved in the conversion of toxic chemicals.

The VemoHerb ® Cichorium dietary supplement includes a combination of coumarin derivatives and flavonoids, forming an active complex that positively affects biliary, renal and hepatic functions and supports the excretion of bile acids and toxins.

In addition to protecting against the effects of toxic substances on the liver and biliary and renal disorders, the active complex reduces glutathione levels and exhibits a cardioprotective effect.
