Maitake (Grifola frondosa) is a medicinal wild mushroom used for thousands of years in traditional Chinese and Japanese medicine. It contains beta-glucans, antioxidants, vitamins B and C, minerals, amino acids, and fiber. The most beneficial active ingredients in Maitake are beta-D-glucans, also known as beta-glucans.
