Zinc Balance® is a synergistic combination of Zinc, L-Monomethionine and Copper Gluconate , in a zinc to copper ratio of 15:1. Zinc L-Monomethionine counteracts the negative effects of fiber and phytic acid on mineral absorption. The mineral zinc supports bone and immune health. Both products, zinc and copper, are necessary to support the process of superoxide dismutase (SOD), which plays an essential role in the body's endogenous antioxidant system.
Copper supplements are used to prevent copper deficiency. The body needs copper and a deficiency can lead to anemia and osteoporosis. The balance of zinc and copper is crucial.
The patented OptiZinc® formula used is a superior bioavailable form of zinc. It is more easily absorbed than regular zinc because it contains one of the most easily absorbed forms of zinc – zinc methionate (methionine). Published studies show that this form of zinc, compared to other forms of zinc, leads to higher blood levels, which clearly demonstrates the higher bioavailability.
Recommended intake: 1 capsule per day or every other day, preferably with food or as directed by your qualified healthcare professional.
