It is also widespread in Bulgaria, where it became a fruit crop after the Liberation.

Composition and properties of Efime B17

Efime B17 contains apricot juice powder and apricot kernel extract, standardized to 1% amygdalin content, in a shell of HPMC (organic cellulose). Amygdalin, known as “vitamin B17”, is not actually a vitamin. It is a cyanogenic glycoside and a natural compound that is not produced independently in the body, but is obtained from some foods. From the 1920s to the present, amygdalin has been the subject of a number of scientific studies and is gaining popularity as a natural remedy for fighting cancer. The B17 molecule contains: cyanide, benzaldehyde and glucose. It is cyanide that is considered to be the destroyer of cancer cells.
